I have been so behind on the blog lately. My parents came for a couple of weeks, and I have just been behind ever since. I have also been getting migraines again. I really hate those little buggers. I've gotten two in the last week. They really knock me down for the count. But per Jessika's request I will gladly start up again, because I at least know that she is reading my blog.
Now that it's almost Thanksgiving I'll go back and talk about Halloween. Jeff has made some really great friends at medical school, and I'm glad to see that he is finding his niche with a group of great guys. One of his friend's Kyle invited us over for pumpkin carving, dinner (it was honestly the best fried chicken I have ever had), and getting to know his little family.
Here is a picture of the finished product.
Jeff practicing his surgical skills.
Lincoln getting ready to get his hands dirty.
The artist at work.
We always let our kids play with sharp knives, don't you?
WHOA, mom what is this slimy stuff?!?
This carving pumpkins is hard work.
This was Lincoln's face after he fell into the bowl with all the pumpkin guts.
After that he tried to hide from us.
If you can guess what Jeff carved into his pumpkin you must be a nerd, or at least married to one.
Another gorgeous night in Missouri.
The kids had a great time, designing and coloring their jack-o'-lantern faces. I think they turned out really well.
