I'm finally getting around to writing about our great Thanksgiving. I still haven't finished the post about when my parents came for a visit. I'm waiting for my parents to send me some pictures (hint, hint ~ mom and dad).
Getting back to Thanksgiving, it really was a wonderful and peaceful day. I spent most of the day in the kitchen cooking (I was in charge of making: green been casserole, mashed potatoes, rolls, spinach artichoke dip, sweet potato casserole, pumpkin cake, and a punch). Jeff was actually home for the WHOLE day. It was delightful! Jeff was able to keep an eye on the kids while I was cooking, and he even got some football watching in.
We haven't had cable since we moved to Missouri. To be honest I haven't missed it at all, except on Thanksgiving day. I missed not getting to watch the Macy's Day Parade.
We decided to get together with some friends and combine all our yummy food into one place. The food was incredibly tasty and the company was great.
I think the dessert table had to be my favorite place. Pumpkin cheesecake, creme brulee, peanut butter chocolate tortes, cupcakes, so many things I can't even list all of them. It's like I had died and gone to heaven.
Jessika and Daniel made these super fun 'Thankful Rolls'. Tucked inside the rolls were little messages about things to be grateful for. Jessika's siblings tried several rolls before they found a message they liked.
Look at those little kissy lips

Daniel and Jessika had the brilliant idea of bringing over their projector to the clubhouse, so everyone could watch a movie after dinner. It was great that the kids got to enjoy Tangled while the adults had some time to talk.
Apparently I was not the only one who was a fan of the dessert table.
Jessika and her family did a great job putting together decorations for the table and room. Jessika asked us a few weeks before the big day if we could collect some sticks for her. The kids LOVED going on walks and finding TONS of them. It was great for Jeff and I because it slowed the kids down a little, so we could keep up with them.
I love how Lincoln is always trying to be like the 'big' kids.
I think Bella had a little crush on Jessika's younger brother Jacob. All night we would hear her yell from across the room, "Jacob, where are you?"
Thanks so much Jessika and Daniel for being such great party planners, yet again.
It was definitely a Thanksgiving to remember!
