I suppose it's time we let the good news out of the box....
Yep, baby #4 is a GIRL!
Let's just say we are pretty excited around here.
At my last appointment they did another ultrasound, so I thought I would share some of the cute pictures of our little girl. Here she is waving to the world, and showing off her cute, long, skinny legs.
They said she looked great, and was super active during the ultrasound. Her heartbeat was measuring at 156. At one point she even yawned while we were watching her, I guess she is already bored with me. They are still saying her due date is October 24th.
I've had quite a few people ask me how I was able to find out the sex of the baby so soon. On my first appointment they saw an abnormality on my right ovary, so they scheduled another ultrasound for my next visit. It turns out I have a dermoid ovarian cyst. Apparently they are fairly common, and they said that I shouldn't be too worried about it. They told me it was a little smaller than a tennis ball, so I will most likely have to have it removed sometime after this little girl arrives. I wish they could just do a two for one procedure while I'm already at the hospital, but they said I'll probably have to go back sometime after my six week check up.
With everything you take the good with the bad. I've read that these types of cysts are most often benign, so I'm choosing to just focus on the fact that we get to have a new sweet little baby girl joining our family soon.
Now that I'm at 14 weeks I'm happy to say that my migraines have diminished considerably. I'm also not as nauseous, but the tiredness has continued. I still wake up almost every hour during the night, but I remember doing this when I was pregnant with Lincoln also. I think I actually get better sleep once the babies get here. All in all I am feeling well and happy.
As a funny side note to the above pictures, did you know that there is a national shortage of helium going on? Thanks to my wonderful and patient husband who puts up with all my crazy ideas and plans he was able to jimmy a plan in order to make the balloons fly. He is my hero.

Nice painting skills, hopefully the little one in the oven gets your crafty talents.
Maybe my hubby will buy me one of those fancy Silhouette machines one day, and I won't have to paint the letters on :)
Congrats! How fun to have another girl! What a fun way to announce it.
So much fun! You guys just had to even it up, didn't you? Two boys, two girls. :) Also, we'll let you name her Emilia if you want, since we both have Bellas already... :)
How DARLING!!! That is crazy about the cyst - do they think it was related to the migraines? Let me know if your kids want to come play for any future appointments!
Yay! What a well balanced family you're going to be! Congratulations you guys! Mother of four.... WOW!
We are so thrilled for you guys! Cute, cute announcement and I am loving your blog... We miss you. The Talberts
