It's official Baby Burnett #4 is coming in October.
I couldn't think of a better time to share our exciting news then on Easter Sunday. I'm about three months along now, and this pregnancy has been a real rollercoaster ride. I'm already claiming that this one is a girl, because she is giving me trouble already. : ) Lincoln's pregnancy was a breeze, and this one has just felt very different to me.
I've decided to keep better track of this pregnancy and all the fun things that are going along with it.
* I have been having 3 ~ 4 migraines a week. I started getting migraines when I turned 8, so I am all too familiar with these literal pain in the neck nuisances. On the other hand I don't think I have ever experienced them quite so frequently. So far the only thing that I have found to try and help prevent them from coming on is drinking exorbitant amounts of water. I have to drink 5 ~ 6 of my water bottles a day, that is approximately 110 ~ 132 ounces of water a day.
* I really have appreciated how much my family has stepped up to the plate and helped me out. I'm sure Jeff recognizes my emails when I write him and ask him to please come home for and hour, so he can put the kids to bed for me. This week Logan was such a huge help when he got everyone something for dinner. Of course it was cereal and milk, but I tell you what I couldn't have been any more proud of him.
* I've gone through the insomnia stages. I will lay in bed for hours trying to sleep and my mind just won't turn off. Although ironically over the last few weeks it has now shifted. Now I can hardly keep my eyes open at night, and during the afternoon I'm always dragging.
* Two weeks ago the kids and I came down with the flu. About a week after that I got a sinus infection, so I have been on antibiotics to try and kick it.
* Around my second month I started spotting for three days. That sure was a 'fun' experience for someone who has miscarried. Jeff was able to give me a blessing at that time, and it said that the baby would be born healthy and happy. That brought a lot of peace to my mind.
* I don't remember having any real food cravings with Lincoln, but this one has been another story. The first few months I craved vegetables and fruit. I could eat a whole head of broccoli in one sitting. It was crazy! I also have had no real desire for sweet foods, not even ice cream. Anyone who knows me knows this is completely out of my norm.
* I also feel like I have been much more sensitive this time around. Jeff disagrees with me on this one, and says I was equally crazy the last time. I feel like I have been having a hard time getting myself out around people, and knowing how to interact with others. I guess it is good that I spend 90% of my time with people ages 5 and under.
* Around dinner time is usually my hardest time of the day, because nothing sounds good to eat and I get a little nauseous. But I have still been very blessed that I have had no vomiting this time around.
* The pregnancy brain is in full force. I can't remember anything anymore. I can't remember people's names, appointments I'm supposed to be at, how to spell things. It's all gone!

* The doctor says I am due around October 24th, that is two days after Logan's birthday. We will see if Logan will be sharing a birthday with his sibling.
And making their first debut on the blog here is Little Burnett #4
This one is showing off their upside down skills. When they did the ultrasound they saw lots of movement and a very strong heartbeat ~ 178.
To be honest I would take all these difficulties and more, because I know that in a few short months the outcome will far outweigh these minor inconveniences. I have had years of knowing how hard it is to long for a pregnancy, so I in no way take this experience lightly. We couldn't be more happy or excited to welcome this new little one into our family. We feel blessed beyond words, and our gratitude is overflowing. My heart is full this Easter Sunday for the many blessings that are in my life.
(Also thanks Jen Romney for letting me steal the announcement picture idea off your blog. : )

Mom aka Mimi
We wish you guys were closer so we could help out. Take it easy and we are excited to see the little one.
With this pregnancy I really liked mashed potatoes early in pregnancy when I wasn't able to eat anything else. I have heard that from others too, so maybe you could give that a try. So happy for you guys!
Hooray! Congrats!!! We're so happy for you guys!
Wow! Congratulations!
SOOOO happy for you!!!! Just tickled pink (or blue) for you guys. I had a couple of pregnancies where I got bad migranes too. Had to be very careful to get enough sleep (which is laughable when you have insomnia and other kids to keep up with) and to drink plenty of water (which is also tough when you don't feel that great). Very challenging, especially since you're so limited on what medicines you can take while pregnant. My sympathies to you there! Hugs to your super cute and growing family!
