Well, we took Bella in yesterday for a two week checkup. She gained over a pound. She now weighs in at 7 pounds 7 oz. She is like her mom, and loves food. She did a great job. She only cried a little, and that was mostly because she was cold.
The last week has been a quite one but a wonderful one. We have just been enjoying the newness of Bella. It is so much fun just to watch her, and study her little face. When I go and get her out of her bassinet, she will look at me and smile. It is the best thing in the whole world. She is such a pretty little girl. I'm sure we are going to have our hands full when she gets older, with all the boys that will be knocking at our door.
Logan's case is still moving along. We have a caseworker down in Guatemala that says he has some connections in the government office. Hopefully those will pan out, and we will get to bring Logan home soon. I really hope that Logan and Bella will grow to love each other, and enjoy being around one another.
That's about all that is going on with us. What a wonderful calling and blessing in life to be a mother. I now feel that my joy is full.

Bella tipping the scale at 7.7. She also had to get another heal prick. When they finished wrapping her foot, it reminded me of a little cast.

I found your site through Breney...I also have a daughter named Isabella, who is also adopted and was also born with a full head of black hair. So CUTE!!
Your little Bella is a beauty, It's so exciting to see a family formed through the miracle of adoption. Congrats to your sweet family.
You guys, I am SO happy for you. When I heard the news I almost couldn't believe it, but it isn't that surprising that the Lord would see fit to bless this little girl with you as her parents.
Hopefully, it will not be too much longer before Logan can come home and meet his new baby sister. Is he excited?
And wow, she gained weight fast... Benjamin was born on the 22nd of March, was also 6 lbs. 6 oz. and 20inches long (scary for being 5 weeks early), and is still no where near that big... good for her!
Congratulations!!!!!
