Fun Weekends

It has been awhile since I have posted. We have just been enjoying life and waiting for our little man to arrive. I had two wonderful weekends. Two weekends ago I was invited by some friends (Brindy and Jennifer) to take a drive over to the coast. Brindy had some gift certificates that she wanted to spend over at the outlets, and she was nice enough to invite us along for the ride. It was so much fun to go hang out with the girls. Both Brindy and Jennifer have little ones that they left home, so they really enjoyed the kid free time.

We found some amazing deals at the outlet malls. I picked up some pjs at Carters for Logan. We also were able to go to the Children’s Place outlet store. I love the clothes from there! I’m not a big fan of all the cartoon characters and such, so I really like how simple and traditional the clothes are at Children’s Place. I found an amazing navy blue blazer for Logan on sale for only $2.99. What a steal! I saw these adorable aviator sunglasses that would look so cute on Logan, but I decided to wait on them and see how he does with sunglasses. I’m thinking we will have to plan another trip over there in a couple of months.

It was a very fun day full of wonderful company, great weather, and good buys. Can’t go wrong with that.

Here are a couple pictures of the beautiful Oregon coast.

This last weekend we kept really busy and had loads of fun. On Friday night Jeff and I went and spent our gift certificate to Dream Dinners. My mom had given it to us at Christmas time and we never got around to using it. We had so much fun! It was a date night the evening we went so we got to enjoy live music and free massages. We also filled our freezer with amazing dinners. I’ve been thinking that I want to get stocked up on things before Logan comes and this was a great way to do it. Thanks Mom!

My boss and his wife also do Dream Dinners every month.

Saturday was my mom’s birthday. She is telling everyone that she is in her late (LATE) thirties. For her birthday she decided that she wanted to participate in a race. She signed herself, my sister, Jeff, and me up to do it with her. We had a great time. My niece Maddy was a little disappointed that she wasn't going to be participating. She is a great little runner, and I'm sure before long she will be right there with the rest of us. I especially enjoyed the fact that I got to take the jogging stroller with my little niece, Evie, in it. It was a beautiful path along the river front, and around park grounds. Jeff actually placed pretty high on the list, and I think it got him motivated to start working out more.

The Racers!

Our own personal cheering section.

A before and after of my little niece. It was quite entertaining because she sings herself to sleep. It was great music for the race!

Crossing the finish line.

We made it!

After our race we decided to go put the pounds back on when we visited a bakery called Sweet Life. If you live close to the Eugene area you should definitely check it out. I partook of a white chocolate, mint cheesecake. In honor of Saint Patrick's Day, and it was divine! My little nephew is lactose intolerant, and they were able to get him a non-dairy cinnamon roll. He ate the whole thing.

After our bakery experience, we went to the mall and walked off a few more pounds. It always fun to window shop. Jeff also had to take back a pair of Nike shoes that he had for less than a month, and they were already falling apart.

For dinner we were able to go to a restaurant called Adam's Place in downtown Eugene. Jeff and I have been telling my parents about this place for months now, so we were excited to share it with them. We had another fantastic meal. It was fun to just sit around the table, and enjoy each other’s company.

Two Happy Customers

We all thought it was hysterical how my niece just couldn't get enough of the chocolate molten cake. She thought that every bite should be hers. Too cute!

Wow! You've been busy. I love your Mom too - she's so awesome! Oh, yes, and I too am a HUGE fan of the Children's Place, although I've never been to one of their outlets. I'll have to check that out sometime!

Fun for you guys! I love the outlets, there is always some kind of good deal there. Sounds like you guys had a blast!

As for your Mom, I totally believe she's in her 30's. :)

I love the children's place outlet! I like it way better than the actualy store. But I was able to buy white slacks there for McCoy for his sealing/blessing outfit and a white button up dress shirt. They had exactly what I wanted. And it is always nice to go there with friends instead of impatient husbands.

I also love dream dinners. We got some free from bryce's work last year and they were easy and yummy!

It looks like you guys know how to have a good time!
