Christmas 2008

I'm finally getting around to posting about our Christmas.  We actually had a very nice and relaxing day.  Amazingly we all felt pretty well on Christmas eve and Christmas day, so that was a nice surprise.

On Christmas eve some friends invited us over to their house.  We had a very enjoyable time visiting with friends and getting to know more people.  Thank you Dale and Laura for hosting a lovely party.

When we got home from the party we opened our 'traditional' Christmas eve gift... pajamas, and took our 'traditional' Christmas eve picture.  It was fun to take our first complete family Christmas picture.  We then tucked the little kiddos into bed, and waited for Santa to come.

Christmas morning was spent just watching and playing with the kids.  It was fun to see how excited the kids were with their simple Christmas gifts that we got them this year.  With money being tight we tried to keep things pretty low key.  (FYI - Thanks Karen and boys for Logan's tractor, it was his favorite gift.  Love you guys!)  It was nice to keep things in focus and remember how lucky we were just to have each other.  It was truly the best gift ever.

Daddy decided that he needed a quick nap, unfortunately Bella didn't think it was such a good idea.

Sounds a lot like our December. We've had colds, fevers, ear infections, sore throats, and pink eye. So fun.

It looks like you guys had a PERFECT Christmas as a family together. I am so happy for you guys (minus all the sicknesses). I hope it settles down for you in the New Year!
