I figure that it's about time for this little guy to have his own post. We ran outside yesterday before lunch, so I could snag some photos of this cutie. He actually really likes getting his picture taken. It's kind of nice to have such a willing subject.

This hat is one of Logan's new favorite things. Actually almost all of Logan's favorite things have come from Karen and her boys. Thanks guys! I have taught him how to say, "Yeeha!", so now every time he sees his hat he yells "Yeeha!"

I've also been meaning to post this letter for awhile now. It's one that Logan received a few months back from the White House. How many two year olds do you know that receive mail from the White House? The letter came in some of the paperwork that we got for Logan's citizenship documents. I thought it was a pretty amazing and inspirational letter. It just reminded me of what a blessed and incredible place we are fortunate to live in. Hopefully you enjoy reading it as much as I did.Dear Fellow American:
I am pleased to congratulate you on becoming a United States citizen. you are now a part of a great and blessed Nation. I know your family and friends are proud of you on this special day.
Americans are united across the generations by grand and enduring ideals. The grandest of these ideals is an unfolding promise that everyone belongs, that everyone deserves a chance, and that no insignificant person was ever born. Our country has never been united by blood or birth or soil. We are bound by principles that move us beyond our backgrounds, lift us above our interests, and teach us what it means to be citizens. Every citizen must uphold these principles. And every new citizen, by embracing these ideals, makes our country more, not less, American.
As you begin to participate fully in our democracy, remember that what you do is as important as anything government does. I ask you to serve your new Nation, beginning with your neighbor. I ask you to be citizens building communities of service and a Nation of character. Americans are generous and strong and decent not because we believe in ourselves, but because we hold beliefs beyond ourselves. When this spirit of citizenship is missing, no government program can replace it. When this spirit is present, no wrong can stand against it.
Welcome to the joy, responsibility, and freedom of American citizenship. God bless you, and God bless America.
Sincerely,
George W. Bush

Cute pictures and what a cool letter! I didn't know they did anything like that! Definitely something he will appreciate down the road!
That is such a cute little bunch of pictures. I little boy in my nursery from last year has that exact same hat and would NEVER take it off unless his parents made him.
That letter will be such a special thing to put in his baby book... It's nice to see that even for such little guys like Logan they send those out.
That's my little Buckaroo!!!!

Mimi
