like this?!?
We have been having a few 'interesting' weeks in our house. The kids have had the Rota virus for the last two weeks (and counting). If you are not familiar with what it is, it basically means a whole crap load of diarrhea and diaper changing going on in our house. I keep thinking this has got to end, right?!?!
To make things even more interesting Jeff has been gone for the last couple of days doing his monthly camping trip. I think the kids saw him for a total of three hours this week (I'm not even kidding). They keep asking me, "Where's daddy?" At least they still know that he exists.
I also dropped my phone this week, so now we are down to one cell phone. I think Jeff is actually enjoying this fact, since now I can't call him crying about something. (Side note: What's up with these pregnancy hormones? Yikes!) Jeff told me that he was planning on being home tonight around 10:00 or 11:00. (Although I found out from an email that he was able to leave the camping trip and head into work for awhile. What? Really!?!) He also managed to set up meetings with all the families of his boy scouts tomorrow after church. I don't think the kids and I will be making it to church tomorrow, so maybe we'll be able to see him on Monday. Keep your fingers crossed for us.
I tell you what the only thing that has been getting me through these last few days is knowing that my mom is coming for a visit this upcoming week. Just the thought of having the extra help and a change of routine, makes me SUPER-UBER excited.
OK enough of the complaining, because honestly how can I complain about these small insignificant things when there are so many bigger problems going on in the world right now. I have two beautiful kids, and one on the way. (Yeah!) I have a hard working husband. I have a roof over my head. I'm a very blessed girl.
To brighten the mood here are a few photos of the things we have been doing while stuck at home.
When I walked into Logan's room this morning I found him reading his 'Jesus Book' to his favorite little teddy bear.
The kids and I finally gave into the cabin fever and decided to go for a walk. There was still some snow on the ground, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
We headed over to a little play ground close to the house. The kids loved running around, and being outside for awhile.
A few weeks ago we headed over to the Michael's craft store, and picked up this train kit. It was in the clearance section of the Christmas inventory, so we only paid $2.50 for it. The kids loved putting it together.
Hope you are all doing well, and avoiding the winter bugs that are going around.

Congratulations on your second trimester! I hope everyone is feeling better soon.
Hang in there honey, this too will pass and then your kids will be all grown up having kids of their own! Look at you, with 2 kids and a 3rd on the way. Grandma to the rescue! Have fun with your mom!
Sad face, Shauna!! Sick kids are the worst. And I can't believe you're 14 weeks, already, you're over a third there! That's fabulous!! What is your due date? Did you already post that? Can't remember. Hope things turn up. I've been feeling super run down lately from Alona and her screaming, daily. It's been really grating on you. So I feel for you!

Ew yuck! Rotavirus is TOUGH! I hope the kiddos get feeling better soon and that you have your hubby around more soon also!
Okay. I burst out laughing when I read that Jeff managed to find time to slip away from the camping trip to go to work. Of course. OF COURSE! Ha ha! Oh you poor thing, I hear ya all too well. My favorite [true] story was a bishop's wife who waited months for her husband to fix the vacuum cleaner and finally got him to do it by taking it over to a neighbor's house (a widow) and having her call him and ask him to fix it. (It was done in 30 minutes!) Ha ha! I loved the picture of Logan reading about Jesus to his bear - so precious!
Hey Shauna!
I'd been wondering where you'd been- and then I read this (I read it a few days ago and am just getting around to commenting:) ! Ohhhh....I'm so sorry!! Sick kids are the worst- so exhausting and draining. I really hope they're feeling better now. Not sure when you're mom's coming but HOW FUN!!!! I'm sure you'll enjoy every minute of her company!
We need to get together after she leaves and get caught up! It's been WAY too long. I think we chatted at the Christmas party and then never got to finish our conversation. I'm dying to hear how your pregnancy is going and to start seeing some belly pics up soon! I'm sure you're not even showing yet- but you've got to document the progression! :) Have a great week!!
