Last week we had the great opportunity of having Jeff's Uncle Rick come and visit us. It was so fun to have him come and stay with us for a few days. We really enjoyed having him, and can't wait for him to come back again.
As soon as Rick walked in the door Logan ran up to him and gave him a huge hug. It was pretty cute to see how much Logan loved spending time with him.
The first day Rick was here we went into D.C. and went to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. We did bring a stroller, but Bella was in a cranky mood so it helped to have Uncle Rick there to carry her.
A quick family picture at the museum.
Bella and Uncle Rick enjoying looking at all the displays.
We got to see the huge elephant in the entry way.
Speaking of huge things, can you believe the size of the Hope Diamond. I was shocked when I saw it, not to mention that small understated necklace that it was held in. Can you believe it!?!
Have you noticed how 'happy' Bella was in all of these pictures. We went during her nap time, and she sure let us know how unhappy she was about it. We made some adjustments for the next day.
We did get to walk past the Washington Monument on our way back to the metro station. It was a beautiful clear day, but it was extremely cold and windy.
The next day we decided that just the boys would take off for the day. The boys decided to drive into D.C. again and this time go to the Smithsonian Museum of Air and Space. We had taken the kids to it before, but Jeff said Logan was much more interested in it this time around.
For Logan one of the highlights of Uncle Rick's visit was getting to ride in his orange GTI. Logan is still talking about Uncle Rick's fast orange car.
Can you tell that Logan was just a little excited to take a ride in Uncle Rick's fast car?
Thanks Uncle Rick for coming out and visiting us. We had a great time with you, and can't wait for your next visit.

Looks like a lot of fun. You guys are brave to head downtown with how cold it has been. I love the orange car.
