A Tribute To My Mom

With our budget being a little tight right now I couldn't afford to give my mom all the things that I wanted to and that she deserves. Instead I decided to write down some of the things that I love about her, and that I'm grateful for.

I love my mom's beauty. She is a gorgeous person on the inside and out. She had the most beautiful blue eye's, and it's been fun to see her pass that on throughout the generations.
Even though times were tough for her, she always tells us that she did her best. I'm sure that is a trait that Heavenly Father loves and admires in her. No matter the trials in life, always do your best.
She always stressed the importance of knowing that friends may come and go, but your family will last forever.
She was good about pushing me to try new things, even when I didn't want to.
Now that I'm a mom I appreciate even more all the birthday parties she planned and hosted. This might seem a bit strange, but after attempting a few myself I now realize how much work they are. I'm grateful that she continued year after year to try and make our birthdays and holidays special.
I love her adventurism. She is a really good sport about trying new things, and seeing if it's something she will enjoy.
Her love of travel is another trait that I admire in my mom. She has been many amazing places, and enjoys seeing what the world has to offer.
She remembers where she came from.
She made many sacrifices in her life, in order to make her family happy.
She has been there at many of the most important times in my life. She always wants what is best for her family and friends.
I'm grateful that I get to call her mom, and that my children have such a wonderful grandmother to love and adore them. I know that God blessed my life when He gave me her as a mother. I have learned a great deal from her, and I'm sure I will continue to learn.

Thanks mom for all you do for us. We hope you have a great Mother's Day!
We Love You Mom / Mimi

Hey Shauna,
Thirty weeks!! I love when you get in the single digits of counting down. You'll have a baby so soon, it's crazy!! Do you have a name yet? We get to find out on June first. Still not feeling great but definitely getting better! Huge improvement from those first weeks and I don't throw up nearly as much! Oh, and from your pics of your sister visiting you, you are so tiny!!

What a wonderful tribute to your amazing mother! She is such a gem! She is absoultely gorgeous (I think she looks like Kristin Chenoweth in her early pictures)!
Your children will one day be saying the same things of you - you are so much like her!
