This little girl finally got to have her first day of preschool. We started the morning out with cinnamon rolls, and Logan asked why we were having a 'special' breakfast. I told him it was to celebrate their first day of preschool. Bella asked if I was going to take Logan to preschool. I said yes, and I told her she was going too.
She did a happy little squeal and said, "I'm so excited!"
She was a little nervous so she insisted on taking her little puppy with her (only because she couldn't find her beloved sheepie as we were walking out the door).
This is the paint smock that I ended up making for her.
I sent the kids with their little Valentine treats to share with their friends, and teachers.
All I did was take some pictures of the kids and put them into a collage, printed them out and stapled them to a little snack bag of Hershey kisses. Here is a close up of the picture.
These two were beyond cute together. In the past Logan has been very timid about going to school. Most mornings it was weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth. I told him that he needed to be brave for Bella, because she would probably be a little nervous. He was a super star. He kept telling Bella about all the fun things they would do at preschool. It was so cute to see him taking such good care of her and being so protective of her.
I love that they are the best of friends, it makes my heart melt.
Bella made sure that Logan held her hand heading into school. I sure love these two.
Bella was a little nervous, but as soon as Logan showed her to a table with crafts she was hooked.
Daddy was even able to see Bella's first day of preschool, before he had to head off to school. On a side note, can I just mention that medical school is the pits! As hard as it is I am extremely proud of my man and all the hard work he puts into it.
I also love Lincoln's little face in this picture. It's almost like he is saying, "Wait a minute, where are my sidekicks?"
I was shocked at how quiet the house was with just my little Lincoln and I. We were able to get so much accomplished in a relatively short amount of time. I'm sure he missed his big brother and sister, but it was also fun to spend time with just him.
I think it was a great accomplishment for everyone in the Burnett household today. I know Bella had a great time, because she even thanked Heavenly Father during her dinner prayer about having a great day at preschool.
SUCCESS!

Wow! Preschool already? That went by fast. Good job, Logan, for looking out for his sister.
I love having the one on one time with my youngest while the two are at preschool!
