Update on Des Moines

Jeff got back from his interview in Des Moines, Iowa and loved it. His interview went really well, he loved the campus, he thought the city had a great feel to it, and he was very impressed with how nice everyone was. He had nothing but good things to say about his experience. I asked him to take a photo on campus with him in it. They had the interviewees staying busy throughout the day, so by the time he remembered to take a picture there was no one around. I think he did a pretty good job as a photographer, and model.

While Jeff was flying home he has a long layover in Phoenix, Arizona, so he was able to spend some time with his dad. Dan gave Jeff the royal tour of his new house, and they were able to eat a good meal together. Jeff really enjoyed getting to see his dad and spend some time with him.

(Can you believe how much they look a like!)

All in all it was a great experience for Jeff. He is hoping to hear back from the university by November 15th. But it sounds like if Jeff has his way, we will be moving to Iowa. I am so proud of him and excited for all the new adventures that await our family. Way to go Jeff!
