Friday evening I had the wonderful opportunity of spending time with one of my favorite people. I got to baby-sit Anton and Jennifer’s daughter, while they went out for Valentine’s Day. Madilyn is so fun to hang out with. She is nine months, and is really starting to show her personality. We had a great time playing, and laughing.

On Saturday we spent the evening with friends, and had a little Valentine’s get together. We had a good time seeing everyone. We have a few friends that have children, and it’s always amazing to see how much they have grown since the last time we saw them.
I also got some very sweet gifts for Valentine’s Day that were very unexpected and incredibly thoughtful. Jeff the sweetheart that he is came home one evening with some beautiful white and red tulips. They are one of my favorite flowers, and they always remind me that spring is just around the corner.
I now drive up to the Temple with a wonderful couple, the Pattons. They are some of the kindest people I have ever met, and I have really enjoyed getting to know them better. Sister Patton gave me a beautiful Valentine’s card. It was so nice of her to think of me, and I really appreciated it.
On Friday when Jen and Anton stopped by, Jen brought with her a book that her mom found. It is called, “Tell Me Again About the Night I Was Born” by Jamie Lee Curtis. If you have not read this book already I highly recommend it. It is adorable and the pictures are hysterical. What a kind and thoughtful gift.

I am always inspired at the unexpected kindness that people show me. What true examples of Christ like love. I am truly blessed to have such kind people in my life. I always feel that these random acts of kindness are little hugs sent from Heavenly Father to lift our spirits.

Madilyn enjoys visits with her Auntie Shauna. I really do appreciate you watching Madilyn for us so that we can get some breaks. You're the best!!!
I really miss you, Shauna. It's been a long time since I've seen your beautiful smile in person. Your husband sounds awesome - I'd love to meet him someday!
