So, since my wife is always saying nice things about me around here, I figured that it was time to give credit where credit is due. First off, let me start by saying that the last 3-4 weeks have been really rough at work (timewise). Science is an interesting discipline, where you go weeks or months without really any sort of projects, and then all of a sudden, you discover something small and you have to run with it. This is the phase my job has me in. It requires me to be gone from home a lot (lately).
This is where my wife, Shauna, shines!! Though I know it is really tiring to be home all the time with two little kiddos and one in the oven, she NEVER COMPLAINS about me having to go to work. She is always understanding and supports me in all that I do. I never have to worry about Wednesday nights with the Deacon's / Boy Scouts activities, because she supports me in those callings as well. She willingly changed her whole world, leaving everyone that she loves behind for me to have the opportunity to advance my career.
She is also a wonderful mother. Logan and Bella have to be the luckiest kids on the planet to have her as a mommy! She is patient and caring, she loves to just be with the kids, she is always thinking of fun ideas for them to do, and you can see their progress as a result. My wife is a wonderful mother, and deserves 1 million hugs and kisses for her efforts on our family's behalf.
I am truly thankful to have such a wonderful companion for eternity. She is so amazing, and I thank my lucky stars to have her all to myself for eternity. I love you Sweetheart, and appreciate all that you do for our family and for me! Hopefully someday I will somehow be able to repay you for all of the wonderful memories I have as a family. You mean the world to me, and I hope you always know how appreciative I am of you!
I love you,
Jeff

WHOA! I have not been keeping up on reading blogs. YAY SHAUNA IS PREGNANT! That is SO awesome. We am so happy for you guys. You two are going to be some busy little beavers pretty soon. YAY!
Amen friend.
Don't worry, I have been doing some complaining for her. Like when I heard about the holiday hours you've been pulling, I just wanted to go off on the people in your lab who push all their work on you and the projects that are just too demanding, etc. (TRUST ME I KNOW) But she is (you are Shauna) definitely a superstar.
