The Most Wonderful Husband and Father

It has been a crazy few months for Jeff at work lately. He seems like he is being pulled in so many directions, with a million things going on. He has a big project that he is working on at work which means lots of extra hours. We sure have missed him being around, but we are awfully proud of all his hard work.

The kids and I are so blessed to have such a wonderful and hardworking husband and father. Even though he hasn't been able to be home very much lately, it makes the times he is here extra special.

Last month at church they handed out their monthly newsletter. Jeff was one of the people that they spotlighted. Here is an exert of what they wrote about him, in case you want to get to know more about Jeff.

Jeff was born in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. He served a mission in the Chile Antofagasta mission from 2001-2003. Not only did he lose himself in the work he also lost his appendix (while in the city of Vallenar) and has an enormous scar to remember it. Following his mission he graduated from Oregon State University (Go Beavers!) with a bachelor of science degree in Microbiology. But his greatest accomplishment was convincing Shauna to marry him. Together they have adopted two children: Logan (3 years old) from Guatemala and Bella (1.5 years old) from Nevada. His hobbies include: SCUBA (PADI dive master), rock climbing, golfing, camping, hiking, not ever doing a 50-mile hike again, science, pretending to workout, food storage, and woodworking. By the way, he used those woodworking skills to make his wife's wedding ring box. It's a music box that plays Unforgettable. He obviously loves his wife very much. He currently serves as the second counselor in the young men's presidency. He works as an IRTA fellow at NIH working on the TGF-beta pathway and it's involvement in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and is preparing to apply to medical school next year. When all is said and done he hopes to settle in the great state of Idaho.

We love you very much Jeff and we are so proud of all your hard work. Thanks for all you do for our family.
