This is what I found in my kitchen this morning.
I had gotten the kids their cereal ready, and then went into Logan's room to make sure he had cleaned up. When I went back to the kitchen Bella had dumped a bowl of cereal on the floor, and was helping herself. After I made her clean up, she was treated to a timeout.
For some reason Logan and Bella (probably because they are 2 and 3), have been giving me a run for my money lately. This picture pretty much says it all.
If you could write who you are across your forehead, I think this is what Bella's would say...
Bella is at the stage where she wants to do everything on her own. The last two days I have put her down for her nap, and she is refusing to sleep. Even though she is ready to give up nap time, I'm not sure I am.
Then the other day during 'quiet' time Logan decided to poop in his pants and smear it all over his room. What is going on!?! Hopefully we are just in a stage, and we will get back to normal as soon as possible.
On a more positive note, in case you haven't heard Jeff has gotten another interview to a medical school. This one is in Missouri as well. He is very excited, and we are incredibly proud of him.

Just know that some day you will miss cheerios and milk on your kitchen floor.

You know, my brother was a pro at the poo-in-a-dump-truck and smear-it-all-over-his-room routine but I can assure that if he could out grow it.... Logan definitely can! Doesn't just looking at your babies melts all the frustration away!?
it must be the season...because I was wanting to pull my hair out this week with the way McCoy was acting. My mom always says that is why Heavenly Father made them so cute, just to get you through the toddler years.
I think we are feeling the same lately! My kids really do test me lately, and that's kind of easy to do with little energy and patience! But Lona, who has been potty trained for months has decided to not always tell me when she needs to pee and goes in her pants. And still doesn't tell me. I have to find out and wonder what she's sat on since she did it! Plus she's such a drama queen. Both girls are quite drama but the 2 year old is always more frustrating. Lylee is just now starting to not take naps and most days she is still needing them so by 5 she is whiney and weepy. So wonderful!!!
When Lizzy started to refuse to take naps (she was Bellas's age), I told her she didn't have to sleep. It was "quiet time" and she had to stay in bed for 25 minutes. I gave her a couple of books, and let her get up after the 25 minutes. Once I even set a timer for her, so she knew I would keep my promise. After a couple of days of this, she started falling asleep during the alotted time, and now she takes better naps than she ever has. Hang in there.
Hey so you know how sometimes we do stuff together and then you blog about it and so I just steal your blog post and/or pictures? I should just do that with this one because seriously, I thought I was reading about MY day. Almost exactly. Except for the part about the med school interview... :(
You are awesome I loved this post! I'm definately feeling the "naughty streak" here at my house too. Maybe it's in the air. Regardless, a play date would probably help... :)
My kids did the same type of things a few months after Wesley was born. They did okay for the first two months or so. Then all of a sudden for about two months we were cleaning up all sorts of messes that they were not doing before...it will pass I promise:) Good luck to Jeff on the interviews.
