The weekend after Jeff found out the results of medical school we decided to plan a trip to visit his Aunt and Uncle. Can I just say how much I LOVE and ADORE our visits to the Burnett's house. My kids completely and totally admire and look up to Conner and Carsen. And honestly I can't blame them they are two of the nicest, kindest, and sweetest boys that I know. Which is only a reflection on the amazing parents they have.
It was such a fun visit, because not only did the kids and I have a blast but I finally got to see Jeff's smile return. It was so neat to see him relax and enjoy his time. For so long he was stressed, and had been pushed to the max. I loved seeing him start to love life again. He finally had time to toss a ball around with the kids, and play in the sprinklers. It was magical.
We did some playing at the swimming pool.
Did some sunbathing.
Learned some cool new golf moves.
Ate some really good popsicles.
Practiced throwing the baseball.
Had blueberry shortcake for breakfast.
Watched some great baseball players. (Except that we had to leave early, because Lincoln was being a stinker. Give him a couple more years, and I'm sure he will be more than willing to hang out at the baseball field.)
It's always a good vacation when we get to visit the Burnetts.
