Things I'm Grateful For... Good Friends

I received an email this morning.  I hope Shankar doesn't mind me sharing it with everyone.

"Fast Sunday in November. Remember what significant thing happened the corresponding Sunday in 2001? It was your first Sunday in Corpus, and my first Sunday attending Church. Now, 7 years, 16 units, 7 countries, 3 continents, 15 callings later, I still haven't missed a single Sunday (or a Friday, while in the Middle East). Do you have any idea what you had started?!

Thank you. My life would not be nearly as satisfying without the part that you played in it."

Isn't it amazing to see how people just thrive when they find the gospel.  The older I get the more I understand that the only true peace in this world can be found when you have a knowledge of where you came from, where you are going, and what your purpose here on earth is.  I really believe that Heavenly Father puts certain people in our lives when we need them most.  Thank you Shankar for letting me get to know you, and learning from your example.  It's been a real pleasure.

It was a surprise to read this post. Thank you for the kind words about me. I'm glad we've learned from each other.
