Cake Time

Here are some photos of Bella's first taste of cake.   Poor Jeff was sent on a wild goose chase looking for a number 1 candle.  Who knew they would be so hard to find?  I had tried looking at three different stores, and came up with nothing.  Jeff finally found one at Giant, it was the last one.  Way to go daddy!

I made vanilla cupcakes with chocolate icing, and I attempted to make my first ice cream cake.  We have some friends that invited us over a few weeks ago to try out a new dessert recipe she had made.  The tradition kind of stuck and now every Sunday evening we try and get together and try a new dessert recipe.  It's been really fun, and a lot less stressful when everyone knows upfront that it's just an experiment.  Plus we have gotten to eat some very delicious sweets.  Yum!

This was the only picture that Logan would be a part of.  He was being a little camera shy, or maybe it was just the fact that it was Sunday and Sundays are always tough in our house.

She was a little unsure at first.

Once she found the chocolate she was hooked.  She is her mommy's daughter after all.
