Horton Hears...

Lucky for me Horton didn't hear my kids screaming too loudly. Where we live the local movie theater shows free movies during the summer. I was a little hesitant to take the kids to it, because I wasn't sure if they would actually sit through a whole movie. But I figured it was free, and lucky for me they did really well. Logan loved seeing his first movie (Horton Hears A Who) in a theater, and Bella did pretty good for most of the movie. I didn't have to take Bella out of the theater, so I would say that was a success.

They were both pretty impressed with the movie screen.
We passed the concession stands on our way into the theater.
I probably should have wiped the drool marks off the glass after we were done. People had told me that the theater wouldn't let you take in any kind of food or drink. I still packed my diaper bag full of sippy cups and snacks. Lucky for me they didn't even check, because I think that's what got us through the entire movie.
We were lucky enough to meet up with Becky and her kids, which made the experience way more fun.
By the end of the movie this is what Bella was doing on my lap. I'm hoping that our experience on the airplane will go as smoothly as the movie (I have my doubts).
Logan was super cute during the movie, and even clapped at the happy ending.
I would say that we were three satisfied customers!

We have that too in the summer but I don't dare take my kids!! I'm glad it was successful for you, someday I'll try it out!

I'm glad you guys had fun! I was planning on going until Tyler's mood that morning. He never would have sat through a movie. We went to the Rio and ran around instead. I'm going to try and hit another one in a couple of weeks. I am using your kids as an example of YES I can do it. Of course, they are really well behaved, so maybe not...

Sure am glad you take your camera everywhere. Even though we are miles apart, I still feel I can share a little bit about all the firsts my kiddos' are having.
Love,
Mimi

WOOOOO hooray for you for braving the movies!!! I love movies but obviously have never taken both my kids. We took Kate to Enchanted once (before Brooklyn was born) and of course the candy is what got her through! We miss you guys!
