A Very Happy Fourth of July

We had a great 4th of July this year. One of the main reasons why it was so great was because our Logan was finally home to enjoy it. We sure love having these little kiddos in our home. It's amazing how much better holidays are when you get to see them through the eyes of a child.
We headed over to the church this morning for a flag ceremony and breakfast. Jeff's boy scout troop did a great job.
After the flag raising ceremony we enjoyed some tasty food and fabulous music.
I loved how aware Logan was of all the flags. On our drive home he was very quick to point out any that he saw.
A holiday wouldn't be complete without spending time with some of our favorite people.

We picked up some small flags at Michaels last night, and the kids really enjoyed carrying them around with them. Logan would not leave the house without his flag.
Once we got home Logan and I finished up some cupcakes for a BBQ we were headed to later that afternoon.
He was a very good helper, and loved putting on the sprinkles for me. After we finished the cupcakes I ended up giving Logan a haircut. I'm still trying to learn how to give him a good haircut, and it's been driving me crazy. Lately every morning he would wake up with crazy and I mean CRAZY hair. Hopefully the new haircut will help.
Good food, good friends, and lots of laughs = a great holiday.
Bella loved bouncing between Jeff and I and munching off any fruit she could get her hands on. I think this little one is going to have a huge sweet tooth. She is my daughter after all.

Logan and Kate enjoyed playing on the nearby playground.

After Logan ate the fruit of his labors, he finally lost it. We had to head home and put him down for a nap, because he was so beat.
Bella had taken a nap in between the breakfast and the BBQ, so she was not tired in the least bit. She decided that a little wrestling was in order with her daddy. She has some mad skills.
After that wore her out (or should I say wore daddy out) they decided to read for awhile.
And all the while this is what Logan did. By looking at the picture below I would say that Logan's first 4th of July was a hit.
Come back tomorrow for more cute pictures of the kids. I have so many that it deserves another post.

That last picture cracks me up. I'm glad to hear you had such a great 4th! Ours was kind of a dud.

I'm glad you had a great fourth! You got some very cute pictures! You need to post a good one of Logan's haircut. I have been cutting Tyler's hair since he was a little older than one and I am still trying to get good.

I'm so glad you took those pictures! (I stole some. Thanks!) I love the one of Kate's hair coming down the slide. I'm so glad SOMEone is good about taking pictures of my kids! Because I certainly am not. I LOVE that picture of Bella dominating the wrestling match. Naked. Awesome.
