Five Years

Along with today being Jeff's birthday it is also our fifth anniversary. I can't believe how fast the past five years have gone. I can honestly say that I am completely in love with this man. I thank God every day for sending him into my life.

I decided to do a little write up of what we have been up to over the last five years.

2004

Jeff and I met the end of February and were married in September. It was a fast courtship, but the best decision I have ever made.

Looking at this picture makes me feel so loved. Jeff is one of the most affectionate and compassionate people I know. I can't even count the number of times over these past five years that Jeff has hugged me and made me feel at peace. When my world is falling apart, I can always find comfort in his arms.

2005

Shortly after we were married we moved to Mexico. Jeff got an internship working at a low-income medical clinic. It was a great opportunity for us to spend time together, and learn to rely on each other.

2006

During this time Jeff and I were both going to school at Oregon State, which was fun to see each other throughout the day.

2007

We spent a lot of time together (This picture is from an annual Halloween party we would host. Jeff was a little boy who lost his tooth, and I was a tooth fairy.) and a lot of time thinking about the family that we wanted to have. Jeff is always a good example of someone who can enjoy the moment and experience they are in. I am still trying to learn this trait, but I'm lucky to have such a good example to strive to be like.

2008

I will always remember this year as our year of miracles. We started out the year with Jeff and I, and by the end of the year...

this is how we looked. Both of our children arrived to us in the year 2008. I think I learned to love Jeff even more as I witnessed him being a father. We also moved across the United States, which made our family grow even closer.

2009

Jeff continues to be my greatest blessing in life, and I can say that everyday that passes I love him more. Life hasn't always been easy, but spending time with Jeff makes everything worthwhile.

As I look into the future, my heart just smiles knowing that I will have this wonderful man by my side for eternity. I have loved the last five years and look forward to all the others. Love you forever and always, Jeff!!!
