The Birthday Festivities Continue

It was pretty yucky weather on Bella's birthday weekend, so we decided to take the kids to the zoo this past Wednesday. We really lucked out and had incredible weather. We also were able to have Jeff accompany us on our outing. He had to go into work early in the morning, he then took a few hours off, and then had to go back into work and stay late. We were very grateful for his sacrifice, and that he was able to spend time with us.

The first stop we made was to see the elephants.

After getting Bella in and out of the stroller numerous times Jeff decided it was just easier lifting her up and showing her the animals while staying seated.
We saw a lot of monkeys on this trip, which the kids really enjoyed.
They let the monkeys freely climb all over on this high~rise wires.
Do you notice the monkey above Jeff's head? There is no net or anything below.

The one thing that Logan said he wanted to see at the zoo was a tiger. Unfortunately the cat exhibit was closed. We were pretty bummed for him, but that is one good thing about getting to go to the zoo for free any time we want.

This was the closest tiger that Logan got to see.

We had a great time celebrating Bella, and spending time together as a family.

We love the zoo! But man...that hike up the hill to leave is killer for us. :)

Happy Birthday sweet and beautiful Bella! Glad you were able to have a family outing to the Zoo. You picked a great day!
Just so you know, I am totally serious about letting me help with anything and everything needed when your new baby boy comes!

What a GREAT way to celebrate her birthday- and the weather last week was perfect! I LOVE going to the zoo! We'll have to plan another outing after the weather warms back up (unless you're totally zooed out)! Spencer always says one trip to the zoo a year is good for him. I like to go a couple times- especially during the spring and fall! Oh, and I wanna hear how the potty training is going- I know you said you were starting Bella.... I was bummed that we didn't really get to chat today.
