This Weekend We Went Hunting Low and High For Easter Eggs

This past Saturday we went to a church Easter egg hunt. Before we left the house Jeff prepped Logan on the ins and outs of what exactly an Easter egg hunt was. He even practiced with Logan and hid some objects around the house. Logan was super excited for the festivities to begin.
He sure gave it a good effort (well kind of).
Once he got the one egg he was pretty much done. I kept telling him to go find more. I even would point them out to him, and he would just look at them.
When all was said and done he was still a happy camper, with his three eggs.
Bella on the other hand was a completely different story. As soon as we walked into the room, she took off running.
She had no fears snagging up as many eggs as she possibly could. Here is her sneaky move of grabbing an egg while the cute little girl was looking away. She sure was a quick one.
Check out that form. She is grabbing for one, with her eyes on the next one. She was a complete hoot to watch.
Here she is counting her loot.
And boy was she a happy little girl!
She even decided to share with her brother, and it definitely made his day.

On Sunday the kids wore their Easter outfits. It was nasty weather, so I wasn't able to get any pictures outside like I wanted. This year for Bella I found this great Gymboree dress at a second hand store (it still had the tags on). Her hat I found at Target. It was just a plain white hat, so I added some ribbon and flower.

Logan's outfit was supposed to be his 'coming home' outfit. I found it at Janie and Jack, one of my favorite kid's stores (that is if I had money to spend :). My mom and I actually picked one outfit out, but I had to take it back because he grew out of it before he made it home. I think I actually had to take the outfits back three different times, because he was supposed to come home and didn't. It was nice to finally see him in his coming home outfit.

I can't believe your ward did an Easter egg hunt. All of our activities have to have a spiritual theme.

Snazzy outfits!! Especially love Logan's tan suit!! My favorite picture is definitely Bella getting the egg while watching for another. I am impressed with that!

I'm glad you guys got to go to the primary activity and have a fun time. Tyler was running a fever on Friday night so I didn't dare send him (plus I was at work). And OF COURSE you added the flower and ribbon to Bella's hat - I shoulda thought about that. Your kiddos looked SOOOOOo cute on Sunday!! P.S. Thanks again for making the bows. I owe you...
