Road Trip

A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to go to North Carolina and visit my cousin Maggie and her family. It was a much needed get away, and we had the best time staying with Maggie and her adorable family.

Jeff was able to take a day off of work and we headed out on Saturday morning.
Bella pointed out all the tractors along the way, so we wouldn't miss any.
Logan was a great traveler, and for the most part did great on the five hour drive.
Along the way we decided to stop at Wendy's and get some lunch for everyone. Bella enjoyed her first frosty.

Daddy even got a kiss of thanks for the lunch he got us.
Bella showing off her cool sunglasses.
We made one more stop along the way to get gas, and let the kids get out and run around for a little bit.
Maggie's husband is doing his residency at Duke, and we were able to take a drive around the campus. It was a beautiful campus.
One day while we were there, Maggie took us to a great park. The kids were able to feed ducks, and just run around. While we were there it was the most beautiful weather, it made it hard to come back to the dirty snow.

There were even crocus in bloom. It was heavenly to see that spring really is possible.

Maggie has two of the most beautiful little girls I have ever seen. They are so sweet and well behaved. This is Maggie's youngest, and she has such a spunky personality. She didn't say very much, but she was definitely able to get her point across.
Don't you LOVE this smile!
Jeff and her really bonded while we were there. She even let Jeff pick her up and give her hugs, it was super cute.
Bella fell in love with this little rocking horse. Every time she saw it she wanted to get up on it.
Evie and Logan had a great time playing together, and Evie was so patient with sharing all of her toys. She was a great hostess.

We had such a good time seeing Maggie and her adorable family. It was a nice and much needed break from our hectic schedule. Maggie did such a wonderful job with making us feel comfortable, and made the most delicious meals. She really spoiled us, and we can't wait to see them again. Thanks again Maggie for letting us come and stay with you!
