The Letter B

This week we had the Fantastic Four over to our house for preschool.

The letter of the week was B. At first I wasn't sure what I should do with them for two whole hours twice a week, but after talking to my sister and finding ideas online I had more ideas than I knew what to do with.

I first started the kids off by working on writing, and making the sound of the letter B.
After working on that we moved on to being Bread Bakers. The kids got to kneed and mold their own loafs of Bread.

We then moved on to making Beautiful Butterflies. The kids really seemed to enjoy this activity. I had boxes of leaves and petals that they were able to put onto contact paper. Once they were done we put another piece of contact paper on top, and cut out the Butterfly wings.

Here are some pictures of Logan's completed Butterfly.

During free play the kids enjoyed working on puzzles. I like how they all worked together to complete this alphabet puzzle. And do you like how Logan's tongue is hanging out of his mouth? He must have really been concentrating hard.
Also during free play they were able to pick out a Balloon and play with them.
The last day we continued our B theme with a Halloween Bash. The kids made Boo-tiful ghosts with their hand and foot prints.
All in all I think it was a success. I've caught Logan a couple of times saying, "The letter B makes the buh, buh sound." I love it!

This was so fun to see all these pics! You were smart to think of taking pictures during each of their activities. I took a total of like 5 the entire week. YOu seriously had the greatest activities! I feel like I need to step it up a notch for my next turn at teaching! Thanks for being my inspiration! :) See you guys tonight at the Trunk-or-treat!!
