A Cowboy, A Painter, and A Crawler

This week Logan had western day at preschool. He was ecstatic to get to wear his cowboy hat to school. He is in a preschool that meets three days a week. For the most part he has really been enjoying his time there. Occasionally he still has a hard time getting into the door, but as always he loves it once he gets there. I have no idea why some days he still doesn't want to go. I wish I knew how that little head of his works, so that I could understand better how to help him. I sure love this little cowboy!
Bella was able to work on painting her bird house this week, and she loved it. Sometimes arts and crafts are hit and miss with her. The bird house was a huge hit. She spent a good amount of time mixing her colors, and deciding where she wanted the paints to go.
I love how she has her little hand up by her chin, as if she is really thinking about what she is doing. I sure love this little painter!
And to round out the week, we now have a crawler in the family. Lincoln decided it was high time he started keeping up with his older brother and sister. He has been crawling backwards for awhile now, so it was just a matter of time before he started going full force. I can't believe that he is crawling at only seven months, he still seems too little for that.

We finally got him into the doctor for this six month checkup (it took us awhile to get insurance switched over since the move). Here are his stats from the appointment:
* Weight = 16 pounds 12 ounces (12% percentile)
* Length = 27 inches (36% percentile)
* Head Circumference = 18 inches (80% percentile / Daddy is proud!)

It looks like we will be working on fattening up our little boy. He also had two more teeth break through (on the top). It has been a busy week for our little man. I sure love this little crawler!
We hope you all have a great weekend. We are off to celebrate with my nephew who turned 1 this week. We can't wait to celebrate!

Don't let those doctors get you too worried about Lincoln's weight. Our girls are just petite because of their genetics, and since we go to the same doctor who saw Grant as a child, he understands that they're just like thier daddy. He says as long as they are showing the developmental stages as expected, don't worry about it. As long as their height/weight/head stays on a consistant curve without major drops or jumps, you're probably okay. Doctors worry too much. But that's just my 2 cents.
