A Perfect Day

On Monday we celebrated our little Bella's third birthday. Throughout the day I kept thinking that it felt like the most perfect day. You know those days ~ where everyone is happy, we are all together, and we are celebrating one of the greatest gifts we have ever received from God (our little Bella). There is something about hearing the laughter of my family that makes my heart just melt.

We started out the morning with our tradition of filling the birthday kid's room with balloons. I knew Logan and Bella were awake because I could hear their little squeals of excitement.

We then moved the party downstairs for breakfast. I kept asking Bella what she wanted for her birthday, and the answer was always the same "A candle!" I made sure we had plenty on hand, and even put one in her toast for breakfast.
The funny thing is she refused to blow out the candle and made her brother do it for her. She is a crack up!
After breakfast and bath time we headed over to one of Bella's favorite places ~ The Bounce House.
On our way to the bounce house we stopped off at the bank to get some money. Our car died while we were in the parking lot. What could have been a disaster turned out to be a huge blessing. Because we were stranded Jeff came to save the day, and ended up spending the morning with us. We had so much fun having daddy come with us to celebrate Bella's day.
I'm telling you looking at this picture is pure heaven to me.

One of the things I love most about Logan and Bella is how well they get along with each other. Of course they do have their moments where they fight like an old married couple, but for the most part they really enjoy each other's company. I love that about my kids! I'm hoping that once Lincoln can keep up with the two of them that they will be like the 3 Amigos, and always have a plethora of pinatas. : )

Have I said lately how much I love this girl? She is fearless with everything she faces in life.

Did you know that this little girl is a HUGE daddy's girl?
A family photo minus our little guy who was home with his Mimi taking a nap.
After the bounce house we headed downtown to a little hot dog stand.
The kids were so excited when the owner of the shop gave them boy little hot dog gummy candies. What makes for a better birthday gift?
They only have outdoor seating at this place. It was a little chilly that day, so we decided to improvise and have a picnic in the car. The kids LOVED it and were talking about it for days after.
A few days before Bella's birthday we took her into the bakery, and let her pick out what ever cake she wanted. This is what she decided on! Can you believe how amazing this cake is!?! It just screams little 3 year old girl. Our friend Michelle made it, and I think she did a phenomenal job.
This picture speaks volumes about how excited Bella was when she saw her cake. She has been sleeping every night with all four of those princesses.
Again Bella made Logan come and blow out her candle.

She gave it the taste of approval.
This right here... is why we don't give our kids lots of sugar. : )
Just to prove that Lincoln was in attendance of some of the birthday activities.
Lincoln has been pulling himself up on everything now, so I know it's just a matter of time before he is off and running. I can't believe how fast this time has been going. Why don't babies stay babies for longer?
After cake and ice cream we moved on to opening presents.
I picked up a few things for Logan as well, so that he could open up some gifts too.

Jeff and I thought for sure that Bella would fall in love with this Princess Bell doll, but I think she has moved on from her love affair of dolls.
She did enjoy her new princess pajamas.
This girl is perfect and amazing in my eyes. We have been so blessed to have her in our lives these past three years. She is a lovable, feisty, go-getter, kissable, go with the flow, demanding, opinionated, caring, funny, thoughtful, obstinate, adventure seeking, friendly, passionate, mischievous, destructive, artistic, beautiful, optimistic type of girl and I wouldn't have her any other way.
A few facts about our little Bella:
* She loves princesses and playing in the mud.
* She loves to dance, and play dress up.
* Her favorite tv show right now is Dinasour Train.
* She loves putting her hands on her hips, and saying "Listen to me!"
* Her favorite food is probably any kind of fruit. She is a picky eater, but when she finds something she likes she will eat lots of it.
* She weighs 30.6 pounds and is almost 3 ft 2 in tall.
* She is wearing size 4T clothes and size 8 shoes.
* I asked her what her favorite color was today, and she said blue.
