Logan's A Champ

Like I mentioned before Jeff unfortunately received a rough welcome to the state of Missouri when he came down with a bad case of poison ivy. Equally as unfortunate Logan came in contact with it too, and had to get on a strong dose of steroids.
The only place where we think they both came in contact with it is our backyard. Ironic isn't? We waited so long to have our very own backyard, and now we are terrified to use it.
The poor kid got it pretty bad on his arm and face. At least he was still all smiles. : ) I will warn you that the picture under this one is not a pretty sight, so if you have a weak stomach you might just want to end now.

I warned you right?!?

Bella and Logan were playing in the boys room while I was getting caught up on laundry (We went over a month with no washing machine and dryer. Oh how I have even more admiration and love for my pioneer ancestors). I think they must have been jumping on Logan's bed and bumped heads or something. I could never really get a straight answer out of Logan, but some how he ended up with a bloody nose and a fat lip. Once I was able to calm him down he did really well and let me clean him up pretty quickly. He was even smiling and laughing by the end of it. He is one tough cookie.
When I went into the boys room it looked like a crime scene. I was shocked!
It took me a good two to three hours to try and get all the blood out of the carpet. I was totally thinking about running to the store and buying one of those great carpet cleaners like our friend Krista owns.
All in all this little boy has been doing a great job lately. We are so thankful that he is healthy and happy. He has been so helpful lately, and has such a sweet and honest heart. He really does have a great desire to do good, and follow Jesus' example. I'm so excited for him that in a few weeks he is going to get to start preschool again. I feel lucky and blessed to get to be his mommy forever and ever.

Holy cow. I can't believe how much blood. Did I tell you that for Christmas Ken bought himself a carpet cleaner? We use it alllllll the time. It should be a baby shower gift requirement.
