Tonight we celebrated Columbus Day. What, you don't celebrate Columbus Day? That's because you don't have amazing friends like ours. Yesterday we were all sitting around talking, and Jessika asked if they could come back over and celebrate Columbus day with us. She told us that it was one of her family's favorite holidays. I was intrigued and excited for today's festivities.
Jessika and Daniel showed up on our doorstep with a feast of foods from around the globe. It was incredible! Jessika explained to us that her family would always eat foods from around the world on Columbus day to celebrate the holiday. How fun is that!!! We had curry chicken, cookies from Asia, tropical fruit, naan bread, and all kinds of other yummy delicious food.
Check out these amazing pina coladas. Jessika and Daniel actually ground up fresh pineapple for the drinks.
They were a BIG hit. I love his little smirk in this picture. I think he enjoyed his pina colada a little too much. : )

We had such a great and fantastic time! Thanks Jessika and Daniel for sharing your love of Columbus Day with us. I think it will be a new tradition in our home.
