A couple of weekends ago we went to downtown Kansas City for a Halloween party the city put on for kids. Jeff surprised us by being able to go along with us. We went and picked him up at the school, and were able to snap a few pictures of the kids before we left.
The theme of this year's Halloween costumes is budget friendly. We spent a total of $1.00.
Logan dressed up as Clark Kent/Superman.
We scored these glasses at the Dollar Store. They were a little too big for him, but he looked so cute in them.
Showing off his super flying skills.
Bella used one of her princess dress up gowns.
And the little man dressed up in a turtle costume we had.
Notice his cool turtle crawling skills?
Now he is trying to show his older brother how to be a super hero.
Luckily for us we showed up right when the event started, so we didn't really have to wait in any lines. As soon as Bella saw the horse drawn hayride she was begging to go on it.
A few of the shops also had trick-or-treating for the kids. This is the first year that the kids are actually understanding what the concept of trick-or-treating is. They had a great time. Bella would say, "Trick-or-treating, PLEASE."
Lincoln was so funny to watch. Before we were even out the door he was trying to bite into his candy.
Look at how happy he is!
I think he is a fan of the holiday.
All in all we had a great time, and I'm glad we went. The kids got free pumpkins, candy apples, trick-or-treating, a hayride, they jumped in a bounce house = it all equalled a great time. I was also a happy camper because we got to spend some time together as a whole family. I love this time of year.
