What We Have Been Up To

The main thing I have been doing this week is keeping up with these two.
We have actually had a pretty low key week so far, which is OK by me since last week was so busy. We have been enjoying the amazing fall colors. It seems like the trees all of a sudden just popped with colors. It's been great to get the kids out, and go for walks.

We also were able to watch some wonderful and great kids this past weekend. We had so much fun having all five of them here. One of the little kiddos we got to watch was this sweet baby. I can't tell you how much our kids LOVE babies, they must take after their mommy. :)
On Tuesday we got to visit Jeff at work and eat lunch with him. It was a lot of fun, and we all decided to make it a monthly activity.
For Logan's birthday his Grandpa Dan sent him some money to go buy a new train. I kept trying to get Logan to look at the camera, but he couldn't take his eyes off his new train.
While we were at the store we were lucky enough to catch story time, which the kids really enjoyed.
Logan was so excited to make his very own purchase.
Thanks Grandpa Dan!
After our story time we decided to take a walk around the pond. Do any of you remember the movie Labyrinth? I know Melissa does.
This picture totally reminds me of the part in the movie where Sarah walks into the Labyrinth. We used to watch that movie over and over. I think we drove my mom crazy with how much we loved that movie.
This little labyrinth walkway goes on forever.

My mom sent us a package this week. The package had a whole lot of Styrofoam peanuts. I was making dinner while the kids were playing so I wasn't paying attention to them very much.
By the time I turned around the floor looked like it has snowed in our living room.
Today we headed over to the bakery thrift store. We got six loafs of bread, hamburger buns, and a box of fruit snacks all for under $10.00. They also had hostess cupcakes for their free samples. Logan was introduced to his first hostess cupcake and I think it was a hit. I have a feeling we will be going back often to take advantage of the great deals.
Tonight we had some new people to the area over for dessert. I made this pumpkin cream chocolate ganache dessert. I'm not a huge fan of pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving, but I would totally eat this again.
Here is a video of the kids enjoying their Styrofoam fun. Nothing like getting a smack down from your younger sister. Poor Logan.

Thanks for watching the kidos for us! When we are all sick-free (if that ever happens) I want to tag along with you to story time and a walk around the pond (we've never done it before). The snow peanuts look like a ton of fun...I might just go get some to give my kids some excitement in this boring house.

I probably quote the Labyrinth at least once a month. Unfortunately Carl wasn't obsessed with it like I was so they mostly just go over his head. I heart David Bowie.

I just had this styrofoam disaster hapen to me! I took a picture, but somehow the camera didn't store it and when I went to download it it wasn't there! It was funny!
