Trying To Stay Busy

With the baby's due date days away instead of weeks or months, the kids and I have been trying to stay as busy as possible. On Monday we went over to a local town square where there are fountains for the kids to play in.

What was funny about the whole thing was that Logan, my very non-adventurous child was very quick to jump in and enjoy the fun.
He watched for a minute to check things out, and then ran right into the fountains.

This picture cracks me up, because of Logan's facial expression. He was having so much fun.
Now Bella on the other hand was super cautious of the whole experience. Logan even tried to get Bella into the action.
Total strangers tried, to no avail to get Bella into the fountains.
Once Kirsten gave Bella some of the toys she had brought, Bella decided to try them out in the water.

After we had been there for about an hour Bella was finally enjoying herself.

Here are a few photos of Kirsten's cute kids.

Even though it was super hot that day (almost 100 degrees with humidity) it was nice to get out and talk with some other great moms.
This is Carolyn and her adorable baby girl. We met Carolyn and her husband through the adoption agency we both used. They were originally going to adopt Bella's biological sibling, but that adoption didn't end up working. After many ups and downs they were able to receive this little miracle girl. She is adorable and the most precious little girl.

One of the games the kids started playing was filling up a little pink bucket and throwing it on each other.
For some reason Logan LOVED this game. He would laugh hysterically every time he would see Kirsten's son coming towards him.
Kirsten was smart enough to bring some watermelon slices for all the kids.

I think this picture is one of my favorites from the day. This little girl is so adorable and spunky. I love it!

On Tuesday we headed over to our local movie theater. Every Tuesday and Wednesday during the summer they show two movies rated G and PG for free.

This week we decided to go with this movie...
I hadn't ever seen it, but it was between this movie and Doogal.

This was pretty much my kid's facial expressions throughout the movie.

We have also been using the pool more, now that the kids got their life jackets that we ordered from Amazon.
Bella took to the water like a fish. She LOVED every minute of it.
By the end of our first trip to the pool she was already swimming by herself.
Logan was quite content on land.
It took a lot of coaxing to get him even to step into the pool.
He started out fine, but it quickly turned into....
hyperventalating and crying.

When we told Bella it was time to get out of the pool she flipped out. By the end of the night both kids were in tears and there was a lot of weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth. That seems to be the norma lately in our house.

That last part about the kids breaking down is so typical with kids in summer. They play so hard they are nearly exhausted and yet they don't want to stop having fun.

Hey we need some more pictures of you. I want to see the really prego pictures. In fact I think you should do a whole montage of the past nine months.

We had a blast at the fountain with you guys! I love the pictures!! Do you mind if I steal a few of them from you? I don't think I even bothered getting my camera out since I saw you taking care of it!! We've been having many similar experiences with the weeping and wailing here at our place. Hope these last couple of weeks go by quickly for you!
