Thanksgiving ~ Burnett Style

Amidst all of our moving 'fun' we were able to get to Springfield, Missouri and visit Jeff's Aunt and Uncle and their family. I kept telling myself during the moving process that I just had to make it x more days until we could finally relax and enjoy our time with the Burnett family. Let me tell you they did not disappoint. Minus the Pukefest of 2010 (more on that a little later), we had a blast.
We had an amazing Thanksgiving feast. Bella even got in the action and helped Aunt Carolyn in the kitchen.
Look at that spread!
We were also able to meet Carolyn's brother and sister-in-law. Do you notice Rudy under the table? Jeff kept saying that Rudy was the coolest dog ever, and wants one just like it.
Lincoln getting a little cuddle time from his Uncle Jay.
We sure have a lot to be thankful for.
Lincoln loved hanging out with Carsen and Conner. Let's just say Lincoln was a HUGE fan, and every time we sing him the song "A Tootie Ta Ta" he still cracks up.
This picture pretty much sums up how everyone felt at some point during our week visit. Two days before we left for Missouri we were staying at our friends house, the Lundells. Logan had gotten sick that morning and the poor Bella got sick all over the Lundell's master bed. Not the way you want to say goodbye to your friends.

Anyway once we got to Missouri Lincoln and I came down with the 24 hour stomach flu, and lovingly shared it with the rest of the family. We will see if they ever let us come back. : )
Once we were back on our feet we were able to enjoy lots of fun activities. On day we were able to see the boys at their batting practice. They sure have some amazing talent.

Here is Carsen waiting for his turn in the batting cage.

Logan decided to bring along some of his art supplies. This kid is exactly like his Grandpa Dan, and Papa when it comes to his love of drawing.

Bella wanted in on all the baseball fun. She loved finding all the spare baseballs laying around.

One night we were able to go to this amazing restaurant where they cook your food right at the table. It was super delicious and the company was fantastic.

What a bunch of hams!

Lincoln getting loved on by his sweet Aunt Carolyn.

Another day we were able to go to Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri. This place was incredible. There was something for everyone to do, and I loved how family-oriented the whole park was.

The boys hit up all the roller coaster rides, and I'm not sure Jeff's stomach will ever be the same.

Conner and Jeff are on the third row from the front.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm all about the food. And let me tell you this place did not disappoint. The food was absolutely amazing! I'm still thinking about all the amazing food we had that day. They even had stations set up for roasting your own s'mores.

Here we are waiting for the parade to start.

This was pretty much how Logan looked throughout the whole parade. He was so impressed by the whole experience.
Another activity we did was visit the store Bass Pro Shop. I don't think I have ever seen anything like it.
The boys got some target practice in while there.

It seemed like there were hundreds of taxidermied animals all over the store. The kids loved getting so close to all kinds of different animals.

We were even able to snap a few family Christmas pictures while there.
One of the best parts of the store was the Santa they had there, and they let you take free pictures with him.

Lincoln was a huge fan.
Logan was excited to tell Santa everything he wanted for Christmas.
Bella on the other hand wanted nothing to do with Santa. When we got to the front of the line we asked Bella who was sitting in the chair, and she proudly proclaimed, "NOAH!" Even now when ever we see a Santa she still calls him Noah.

We really had a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday, and absolutely loved spending time with our extended Burnett family.

ha! I totally just realised something awesome. With you guys moving out that direction it finally gives us an excuse to visit Branson. FP has really really wanted to go to the Titanic Museum there, but I wasn't sure why we'd drive that far. that Silver Dollar place looks great, and it would be fun.

Shauna we miss your beautiful family! I can't WAIT for the puke-fest story haha! Did I ever tell you that of all times Dean contracted hand foot and mouth disease while we were moving? Why must moving ALWAYS be such an ordeal? I don't know how you moved multiple small children. You're amazing.
