Our First Snowfall in Missouri

When we told people that we were moving to Missouri everyone told us about how horrible the winters would be.  We have been incredibly lucky with the winter weather.  Just last week the kids were running around outside with just a light sweater on... IN JANUARY.  

I guess it was bound to happen eventually ~ we finally got our first snowfall, or maybe I should say dusting.  Logan was so excited this morning.  As soon as I walked into his room he said, "Mom, it snowed!  Is it Christmas again?"  It was all I could do to try and get some breakfast in him before they were begging to go outside and play.

I'm telling you it literally was like a dusting of snow, but Bella and Logan could have spent hours outside playing in it.  

This little guy was another story.  He fell once and was done for.  The poor guy does not like being cold.

 Of course it probably didn't help much that his hat kept slipping into his eyes, and he doesn't have a pair of gloves that fit him.  I think I might have to see if my Aunt Carol can make us some more.

 After a few minutes playing in the snow I ended up taking Lincoln inside to warm up.  Look at his cute little red nose.

 I always try and stay close to the door when the kids are outside, so I can still watch them while they play.  Lincoln has been such a stinker lately.  I should have known that he was being too quiet, because this is what I found when I went into the kitchen.

 It's a good thing he is so cute.

 I was finally able to get the other two to come inside with the offer of hot chocolate and marshmallows.

I sure do love these guys!
