Just Another Day In Paradise

It's been one of those days.  Actually let's be honest here, it's been one of those weeks.  Here are some pictures and a video of the highlights of today.

Logan has been practicing his animal sounds, among other things (like testing his mommy's patience level, and finding out how many buttons he can push before she will start to cry).  At least we have moments like these that keep us laughing and smiling.
While Logan was working on his animal sounds, this is what I found Bella doing behind the couch.  She got into the diaper bag, got the bag of Cheerios out, dumped the entire bag onto the carpet, and decided to help herself to a snack.
Of course how can I get mad when she flashes me this smile.
This is what Jeff is up to lately.  Yep, that's right Jeff is gone camping again.  Only this time he is taking his brand new backpack with him.  He bought it for $30.00 from a friend that never even used it once.  I think he was pretty excited to try it out.

Can I just say that I would like my husband to be home again?  We live in an area that has a lot of medical students, and I have no idea how their spouses do it.  This week Jeff had a meeting for scouts on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and now camping on Friday and Saturday.  He also had a work meeting on Tuesday night.   When will it end!?!
I've heard fellow neighbors talk about receiving packages in unusual ways.  Well today we received our unusual delivery service.  The FedEx man rings the doorbell, and before I can get to the door he is already in his truck and gone.  Apparently the package is safe if you hide it under the doormat.  The doormat full of holes.  HUH?  I think FedEx is the only company to deliver packages like this.  Just the day before we got a package from UPS, and they were kind enough to take it to the office.
Guess what else was delivered to our house today... our new stove.  YEAH!  Our old oven was about 100 degrees off, and I was sick of everything burning.  I could never get the burners to work properly either, it was such a headache. After talking to Krista she convinced me to call maintenance, and boy am I glad I did.  They also told us that if we can wait a month they will replace all of our linoleum.  WOW!
Super happy that this is the last meal I would prepare on this horrible stove.
Out with the old.  Yeah baby!
I asked the maintenance guy if I could clean out the area before he put the new one in.  Super gross huh?  Can you imagine if I hadn't asked to clean up?
Look at how pretty she is.
Bella gives it her stamp of approval.
I just got the kids to bed finally, so I think I'm going to go put my feet up and enjoy the silence.  Logan has had blowout diapers all day, and Bella had a temperature of 101.1 today.  Jeff where are you?!?  Hopefully we will get through this weekend, wish me luck!

WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! We're OVEN TWINNERS!!! I am so excited for your new oven!!! Look at all these exclamation marks!!!!! That's funny - I asked them too if I could clean behind it! They said, "Oh, we'll clean it out." Ummm... I'm not sure that they did! (Or how well...) And um, can I just say that that kind of week is the story of my LIFE! At least Bella has that winning little smile to pull out on you! Now THAT is a powerful weapon! Today Kate emptied a box of Kix on the floor, and Brooklyn's new favorite snack is my tube of toothpaste (she sucks on the top). I have no idea how she keeps finding it! Also Kate threw the crown jewel of tantrums in Target today. But we were totally out of diapers and I had to buy more, so I just pretended I couldn't hear anything while THE ENTIRE STORE stared at me incredulously like I was the worst mother ever. Anyway... we need to hang out more!!!

Isn't it the worst to not have your husband around? I'm a total wimp about it, and my husband isn't gone nearly as much as some women have to deal with.

You are looking so good!

Yeah, it drives me nuts too when the delivery is left on the front door step. We ordered our new Britax carseat and they just left it on our doorstep. The delivery guy doorbell ditched us practically. He dropped it on the step, knocked on the door and by the time I got to the door the truck was down the road. Oh well! I love your new stove though. :)
