MIA

I've been a little absent from my blog lately, mainly because there have been a lot of these going on in our house.  Yep, lots and lots of tantrums.
Bella had her 15 month check up this past week, and Logan FREAKED out the whole time.  I have no idea what his deal was.  As we were walking out of the office one of the nurses looked at him and asked, "Oh, is he sick?"  Does sick in the head count?  He worked himself up so much that he was sweating and had huge puffy eyes.
At one point they both started going at it.
This is about what I wanted to do, just cover my eyes, throw my hands up in the air, and yell, "I GIVE UP!"
Thank goodness for girls night out.  I think that was my saving grace.  It was so nice to get out, and have an adult conversation with amazing ladies.  It really helped to be reminded that "This Too Shall Pass", and to know that I am not alone.

I also tackled the project of tidying up our porch.  The kids wanted to be right in all the action.  I couldn't take it anymore, so I gave them some homemade grape popsicles.  It sounded like a good idea at the time until there was purple grape juice EVERYwhere.  I gave myself double the work of clean up, but at least they enjoyed themselves.

We also got out and enjoyed some of the nice weather that we have been having.

Here's a quick video of Bella doing one of her tantrums.  She probably doesn't like the fact that I just laugh at her when she does them.  After dealing with Logan I feel a little more confident in what to expect, and for some reason it doesn't seem as bad the second time around.  I guess I can have the perspective and knowledge that this too shall pass.

My kids were watching Bella throw a tantrum and were laughing. Liam's question was "Is she a big baby or a little baby?" I laughed and said Tia probably thinks she is a big baby right now.

That's it!!!! I know a couple of kids (some that are grown!!!) that did a lot worse tantrums. No wonder you chuckle when you watch her.

I think I did join in on the crying the first time Jake saw Tess get her shots! It is hard to take 2 kids to the doctor!!! Especially when they both need to have unhappy things done. But like you said, this too shall pass. Jake is so brave now going to the doctor so it usually goes a lot better than it use to!

Is it bad that I was laughing really hard at Bella's tantrum? I just can relate to that exact thing at the moment, and watching it be someone elses kid makes me happy and relieved. Even having Boy be my third kid (and boy no less) tantrums don't get less grating to me. I can handle them better, but I just have to look at my kids at some times and wonder.... what is wrong with you?! And then laugh.

That was a tantrum? That was way too mild to be a tantrum! My girls get the screaming in there and it just pushes my buttons like you wouldn't believe. Sounds like a whole lot of craziness, like our house! My little Lona throws tantrums really bad and she's only a year! Lylee didn't do them until almost 2 so I'm nervous! There's been a lot of teething mixed in with sick at our house. I border insane some days!
