Transportation Day

This past Friday our friend Kirsten told us about her son's school having a transportation day.  It was amazing to see almost every type of vehicle you could imagine all in one place.

As soon as we walked down the hill Logan spotted his most favorite vehicle of all.  What could it be?!?!
THE BUS!  Yep that big yellow school bus is what Logan absolutely loves.

He could not wait to get into the bus.

That is a look of pure joy!
I think he was in shock and awe when they let him get behind the driver's seat.
Seeing this gave me chills.  I can just see the two of them in years to come...  Logan behind the driver's seat, telling his sister to jump on into the passenger seat.  Can you imagine?
Logan was a little put off when he realized that he had to take turns with the other kids.

This picture cracks me up, because it looks like Logan is trying to look under the hood or something.  A typical man.
I think we have another Harley fan in the family.  His grandpa Dan will be proud.
I asked the nice bus driver to take our photo.  Logan was so distraught being so close to a bus, and not being able to be in it.  I finally gave up, and told the man to just take the picture.

Here is a little video to show you how excited Logan was to see the bus.  Sorry about the noise it was really windy.

Looks like a lot of fun! Tyler loves school buses too. I wish we could have made it, but between our illnesses and the large number of things I had to do that day, I just couldn't bring myself to drive to Darnestown. I am glad you had fun though!!

I was so bummed that Madi and I missed out on transportation day. We were planning on going all week- and that's when Madi started getting sick. I didn't think taking her out in the rainy weather would be the best idea. Now that I've seen you're pictures I am TOTALLY SAD we didn't go. Madi would have loved the school bus- and to actually get ON IT!!! WOW! She definitely would have been in heaven. We have a bus that comes right by our house to pick up some kids and so Madi gets to wave to the bus everyday! Looks like you guys had a fabulous time!! We'll have to go next year! Oh, and that's SO exciting that you guys get to go home for a whole MONTH this summer!!! HOW FUN!!!

I LOVE the truck picture!!! It's so big and he's so tiny! Ha ha! Also, cute hat. And, I am FINALLY getting better (after a ridiculous 2 weeks and $50-worth of antibiotics! *choke*) so we should hang out! My girls haven't been out of the house in like a month, poor things.

Hey Shauna--

I am glad you made it to Transportation Day! I'm sorry I didn't see you there :( I assumed since it was raining that people wouldn't come. I should have given you my cell phone #. I left Julia with a friend so I didn't have to worry about her getting wet etc. Looks like Logan enjoyed it. Bella too! We'll have to get together and do something soon, since we're getting out a little bit more now.
