Or in our case 'While Daddy Is Away The Kiddos Will Play'. Jeff has been gone this weekend on another camping trip. He needed to take the car, so we stayed close to home. Which wasn't so bad, because the rain is back.
We didn't make it to church today, so we decided to color some pictures of Jesus.
I love the concentration on his face.
With Bella there was a lot of this going on. She found the crayons more appetizing than anything else.
Logan loved his completed picture.
I think Bella was really missing her Daddy. All weekend I found her carrying his things around the house. She found his first-aid kit, and used it like a purse.
I also found her using her daddy's backpack as a chair.
Bella's telling the rain to go away, and come again another day.
At least they were good sports for having to stay inside most of the weekend.
We also decided to make some peanut butter cookies. Logan is definitely my little helper in the kitchen. He loves to cook.
Bella enjoyed watching the cookies in the oven.
Can you tell that she is just a LITTLE excited for the cookies to be done.
He does good work.
Here's a little video of us making the cookies. I think it's hilarious, because I ask Logan if he is going to eat the cookies. I guess I should have been more specific by asking, "Are you going to eat the cookies after they are finished cooking?"

Looks like we have been doing the same things this weekend! I ended up feeling really sick yesterday and a little better today so no church for us either. Sorry, I really did want to get together with you tonight while the hubby's were away...stink'n sickness!
Your kids are adorable. I laughed at Bella eating the crayons...Tess use to do that too!
Dan keeps telling me we need to get together...so lets plan and hopefully no sickness will interfere!
I did miss you at stake conference - I looked for you! Probably good that you avoided that crazy rain!!! And wait a second, what is Jeff doing camping without his first aid kit??? Let's assume he has two.
And, um... peanut butter cookies???

I was wondering where you guys were yesterday! I was looking for you! At least you had a nice quiet Sunday at home- coloring pictures of Jesus! Your kids are so cute! That video of Logan at the end is adorable! Madi loved watching it- over and over! :) Hopefully this rains stops soon and sicknesses end (Madi's now got a terrible cough) so that we can get together again!
Looks like FUN! I loved the video at the end. Tyler would have done the same thing. You gonna eat the cookies? Ya sure! Only he probably woulda used his fingers.
Wait, he went camping in the RAIN?! Man, dedication! :) Yummy looking cookies!
